Help us bring truly pastured meat, eggs and vegetables to Houston area families. Frydek Heritage Farm is a regenerative farm that raises pigs, chickens, and cattle on pasture. We sell our pasture raised meats & eggs, as well as an assortment of other locally raised farm goods from our farm partners, at farmers markets.

We need people who are reliable, quick and ready to work each day. An ideal candidate is energetic, quick thinking and ready to get the job done. A successful associate puts safety first and cares deeply about customer expectations and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a passion for local regenerative agriculture and pasture raised products, excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Wash, candle and package pasture raised eggs
• Pack customer orders prior to markets and delivery days
• Engage with customers, answering their questions about our products and farming practices
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
• Handle cash and credit card transactions using a point of sale system
• Setup and breakdown of the farmers market booth at market end
• Ensure the wellbeing of all livestock on the farm - feeding, watering, paddock movement, etc
• Operate a tractor and other farm equipment
• General cleaning and maintenance of buildings, vehicles fencing, pasture, water system and other equipment
• Drive a truck and trailer on a variety of routes to market, to haul animals or to pick up and/or deliver goods as assigned
• Maintain driving and equipment records 
• Alert the owner to any problems regarding customers, inventory, animals or the general environment

Qualifications and Qualities

• Passion for pasture raised livestock
• Familiarity with cuts of meat and how to cook them is a plus
• Ability and stamina to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Punctual and arrives ready to work
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license
• Comfortable driving a Truck (No CDL required)
• Experience pulling a trailer is a plus
• Tractor and equipment experience is a plus
• Ability to drive long distances in a fully loaded truck
• Commercial (or work-related) driving experience is a plus
• Great improvising and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Farm work experience is a plus
